With the ambitious name of SPEEDSTAR, Suomy's most recent intuition in composite fibers is presented, which thanks to twenty years of experience in international competitions, proposes a new concept of transverse sports helmet. The frequent wind tunnel sessions, like a racing helmet, have given rise to dynamic shapes, a high performance aerodynamic coefficient and an enviable overall balance. The Design, R&D and Riding Test department have created for SPEEDSTAR a package of solutions that enrich comfort and versatility with breathable technical fabrics, D-ring strap and balanced fit suitable for any type of ride. The new injection in Class 1 visor with variable thickness, with Pinlock Max Vision, guarantees visibility in the various driving angles; the brand new Wide Sun Visor extends to the sides of the cheek pads offering complete protection from sunlight. Shell in tri-composite fiber. TRICARBOCO Internal polystyrene in 2 sizes (M and L) according to the size of the end users' fit. Wide vision inner visor UPPER FRONT AIR INLETS The air flow entering the upper front part of the helmet can be adjusted by acting on the central part of the air intakes. REAR AIR INTAKE EXTRACTION The innovative rear air intake has been designed to further improve the internal ventilation of the helmet by exploiting the residual air flows which, thanks to the Venturi effect, are able to generate a depression in the part underlying the same, thus ensuring a significant extraction of internal hot air and the consequent maintenance of a comfortable temperature. LATERAL AIR EXTRACTION The side air intakes allow, through the exploitation of the Venturi effect, the extraction of air from inside the helmet. The shape of the same has been studied in order to optimize this effect and thus guarantee a significant extraction of air, maintaining perfect aerodynamic efficiency. The particular shape is also capable of minimizing turbulence and limiting the possible vibrations of the helmet itself. The double rear spoiler has been designed to reduce vibrations on the helmet, moving the point of detachment of the aerodynamic flow as far as possible. This reduces the vortices that form when a body impacts an aerodynamic flow and also improves the discharge of the flows. This guarantees the most uniform and continuous diffusion of the air flow inside the shell, also favored by the extraction grid positioned at the rear.
