Motorcycle products and accessories from AGV
History of AGV
AGV was founded in 1947 by Gino Amisano, with the development of its first helmet made of molded leather and an inner padded lining for added comfort. Years later, they introduced a fiberglass helmet—a stronger and more protective material than leather—though the shell still had a bowl shape. Two years after that, they developed their first jet helmet, which offered a more enveloping and protective shell as it covered the ears and the back of the head.
Rider Giacomo Agostini was the first to wear AGV helmets, and this collaboration brought both to stardom. In 1969, the brand launched the first European full-face helmet, the X3000. This new model revolutionized the market by offering full head protection and a new aesthetic.
In 2007, AGV joined the Dainese group, another major company dedicated to motorcyclist gear. Both strive for excellence in protection and safety, which is why this duo manages to outfit riders from head to toe.
AGV has become a benchmark brand in the sector thanks to its continuous innovation and development in pursuit of excellence in protection and safety. The first version of the Pista GP, the brand’s flagship racing full-face helmet, became its best-selling model and was one of the first to obtain FIM homologation, required for racing on the track. The brand created the Extreme Standards to strike the perfect balance between safety, performance, and comfort, designing increasingly advanced helmets with better aerodynamics and lighter weight.
